Fully disconnecting Post layer from a social account

Removing an account in Post layer is step one — revoking access on the platform itself is step two.

Disconnecting an account inside Post layer (Accounts → disconnect) removes it from your workspaces and deletes our connection to it — Post layer can no longer post for you after that.

However, the authorization you granted also lives on the platform's side, and only you can remove it there. If you want Post layer's access fully revoked, do both steps. Below is where to find it on every platform we support.

Note: platforms occasionally rename or move these menus — if a step looks different, search the platform's settings for "apps", "connected apps" or "permissions".

X (Twitter)

  1. 1Open X and go to Settings → Security and account access.
  2. 2Open Apps and sessions → Connected apps.
  3. 3Select Post-layer.
  4. 4Click "Revoke app permissions".

Instagram

  1. 1In the Instagram app or on instagram.com, open Settings.
  2. 2Go to Apps and websites (under Security / Website permissions).
  3. 3Under Active, find Post layer and choose "Remove".
  4. 4Connected through Facebook? Also check Facebook's Business integrations (next section) — professional accounts authorize through Meta.

Facebook

  1. 1On facebook.com, go to Settings & privacy → Settings.
  2. 2Open "Apps and websites" — for Page/professional connections, check "Business integrations" as well.
  3. 3Find Post layer and click Remove.

Threads

  1. 1In the Threads app or on threads.net, open Settings → Account.
  2. 2Open Apps and websites (Threads is linked to your Instagram account, so the authorization may also appear in your Instagram/Meta settings).
  3. 3Find Post layer and remove it.

TikTok

  1. 1In the TikTok app, open your Profile → menu (☰) → Settings and privacy.
  2. 2Go to Security & permissions → Apps and services (on tiktok.com: Settings → Manage app permissions).
  3. 3Select Post layer and choose "Remove access".

LinkedIn

  1. 1On linkedin.com, open Settings & Privacy.
  2. 2Go to Data privacy → Other applications → Permitted services.
  3. 3Find Post layer and click Remove.

YouTube (Google)

  1. 1Go to myaccount.google.com → Security.
  2. 2Open "Your connections to third-party apps & services".
  3. 3Select Post layer and delete all connections.

Pinterest

  1. 1On pinterest.com, open Settings → Security.
  2. 2Under Connected apps, find Post layer.
  3. 3Revoke its access.

Bluesky

  1. 1Post layer connects to Bluesky with an app password, so revoking means deleting that password.
  2. 2In the Bluesky app or on bsky.app, open Settings → Privacy and security → App passwords.
  3. 3Delete the app password you created for Post layer — the connection stops working immediately.
