Why did my post fail?
Common publishing errors and how to fix them.
When a platform rejects a post, Post layer marks it failed instead of silently dropping it. The usual causes:
Expired connection
The most common cause — the platform's access token expired. Reconnect the account under Accounts and retry the post.
Media the platform won't accept
Each network has its own rules for file size, length and aspect ratio. Very long videos or unusual formats are the typical offenders — try a shorter or re-exported version.
Platform rate limits
Publishing a lot in a short window can hit a platform's processing limits. Post layer automatically paces and retries where possible; if a post still fails, wait a few minutes and retry it.
